This book started out based on real characters and the situations they found themselves in, back in the early 1970s.

"Avoiding flood waters, they first headed west. Then over the Great Dividing Range, to find a way south to reach Bells
Beach in time for a surf contest. Their journey led them to an ancient Aboriginal site in Queensland's Outback. There
they came into possession of a scroll that would be part of their lives leading up to New Year's Eve 2010. 

While writing this book it took on a life of its own and should be read as fiction but merges with reality in the end.
